Better is 1 day in your courts

than a thousands elsewhere

Hebrews 4:7b
"Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts."

4:10-13
"Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account."

how hard is it to enter that rest! when work piles up over your head and you're rushing to meet deadlines.. sometimes even running ahead of yourself. running faster than you should be.
its easier to be "martha" than "mary."
but jesus said to martha, "Martha, martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but only 1 thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better and it will not be taken away from her."

ive been "martha" for several weeks now.. due to school and ministry commitments. mainly school.. it was awful. ther was this deep yearning deep within me to stop and sit at His feet, to rest, to listen. and everytime i went for alpha or cell or vineyard, there's this heart wrenching- wanna cry kinda feeling. But.. BUT.. i always said BUT... i cant stop, theres just too much work, i cant afford to fall behind. or so i think.

the truth is, we can all stop, if we want. it's a choice- just as many many other important things in life, which we think we dont have a choice over. we actually do.
its not bad to work, to many of us it is a commitment and a responsibility to God. but sometimes its better to find that rest. i cant better describe how i feel so strongly about finding time to stop and rest! and to actively pursue the God whom we belong to!

so here's a new song i recently was introduced to.
Paul Baloche's Here & Now.

Here and now
Here in this moment
here and now
i turn to you
All that my searching heart has longed for, can be found
cause you're in this moment
Here and Now.

what majesty! what mystery!
the God of all eternity
stepped into time and gave His life for me
Your hand has seen in galaxies
yet your spirit dwells in me
so vast and yet
you're still within our reach

3 weeks

i got internet connection!
we asked our nieghbour if she could share her wireless with her, and she agreed! how nice!-3.50 per person for a month. thats real good. better than spending a hundred + pounds on a cable box and whatever...

after all. we're moving in december.
yes, jean and i got 2 months lease termination notice the 3rd day we moved in.
the owner has decided to sell the property.
unfortunate...but we've got no choice.
its a shame as this flat is really nice and cosy, and we've grown quite attached to it.
I pray God will provide us with another similar place, with a superb location. im currently 5 min walk away from medical school! (3 if i speed walk)

so that's why ive been MIA-ing for a long time.

otherwise, everything has been quite alright.
the usual things in life that make you uneasy and concerned for a while, but they go away..:)

school started this week.
it's... BUSY.
there's so much work.
school hours are doubled, PBL information is doubled as well, and difficulty levels are doubled.
seriously, i spend more of my time at the laptop doing PBL.
there is hardly anytime left.

last sunday.... alfred cooked duck. and i mean he bought a frozen duck from morrisons for 6 pounds, and he marinated it and roasted it on his own:)haha. cooked yam rice with mushroom and heibi too. and there's the chopped duck in the middle with tau kua and egg and veg!!! it was a FEAST for 2.. thank you so much....
