saturday afternoon- we were supposed to go to edinburgh to climb arthur fort (some highest hill in edin) but smth cropped up so i decided i needed to remain at home. lunch was great , i LOVE bread...

we had students welcome last friday at chinese church. took some photos of the juniors.. and us. here's ambika and yong geng.

alfred helped assemble the chair we bought from ikea. the only piece of furniture we got that day.:(everyting was out of stock

finally... ive got internet connection (temporary), and i can upload photos! this was what i cooked.. last wednesday! chicken and potato curry with bread:) its too dry... well some people prefer it wet.. so..next time!

okay, apparently this didn come out.. pasta with sausages and peppers and mushrooms! alfred's creation, yum yum;)

okay blame it on my canon... but the curry tastes good okay! and looks better:) 2.5 hours! haha im so happy:)

wednesday dinner: IM NOT THAT USELESS I CAN COOK TOO!! the ingredients from grandma's secret recipe.. dun worrie the secret ingredient is not displayed.

tuesday evening: again, chow mien, not by me, but by chef tan.

it was yummy!!!! i had it with grandma's sambal chilli.. which made it all even nicer! a good meal after a long day of work. thanks monster!

we went to IKEA on tuesday afternoon. tried looking for my furniture. but the table and cupboard were out of stock at the moment. guess i gotta make an extra trip again!--oh sandwich i spent 45 min making: egg mayo + cocktail sausage, cheese and fried ham.

the end product: tomato pasta with sausages, mush rooms, peppers and cheddar

monday night- Alfred and ambika came over to the flat. and alfred cooked for us:)

It's been 2 weeks since i absent myself from the blogging scene- too caught up with the other nitty gritty in life.
in another 24 hours, ill be on board EK349, onward to Dubai, then Glasgow.

its a 50-50% thing.
i have to go.
i dont mind going back.
there are certain advantages to being there-the freedom, the environment, the education.
but i like singapore.
well, people i love are here.
ive got almost everything i want and need.
but it seems also that i should belong somewhere.

its been an enjoyable 3 months.
my first summer...
was spent embarking on new events.
and reminiscing old, disappointing and embarassing ones.
it has been a painful reality to face up too.
well, one has to pay for the consequences of ones mistakes right?

and it doesn really comfort to know that what lies ahead might only be tougher. most probably is...
getting adjusted to the new flat.
the infamously difficult yr 2 cirriculum.
new areas of service at GCCC
the job i so have to get.
being a senior
being a girlfriend.

and the usual roles in everyday life, that actually, is the most taxing..
being a daughter, a sister, a friend.

i wish i could split myself up into a million parts.
then sleep.sleep.sleep.

wing invited a few of us-a special few hehe. to her place for dinner on saturday night. its a birthday dinner. her mum made this beautiful cheesecake. and yes, its yummy too! legendary indeed:)

babes.. my long time friend of 7 years.. classmates since sec 1:)she's turning 21 this tuesday... love ya to bits girl.PS: im not coming down to london till u come up!

shiyan, shuwen, wing, ambs and I

jingfeng organised a surprise farewell BBQ for fidelia on saturday evening, ECP. wing, shiyan and i decided to grace the occassion. cheerios to the sweet sweet other half! and to the girl! who's heading to nottingham for 1 yr of exchange!-oh we were all sec 4 classmates;)

on friday night, i was BORED. so i decided to bake. i havent been for a long while!haha my siblings helped, and they are good!!!! here's our product: a lemon butter chiffon cake:)

on thursday: a few of us went cable skiing at ECP, my 1st try. actually everybody's 1st go. it was supposed to be a sing soc thing, BUT the seniors pang seh us, and my batch mates hate the water and sun:(poor me had to be surrounded by the boys coming in. form left: teng cheng, dilane, jason, myself, sijie. they were a fun and caring bunch! we were adventurous.. at one point in time, skiiing in CAP 1.haha

sijie and i after it all...

i was fighting to stay afloat after that 1.5 hours!!! my arms were gone... after 2 days of water sports.. hehe. my conclusion: wake boarding is easier and funner than cable skiing. but the water here is much better, oh and its less pricey! haha

on tuesday, veen, kris and i went wakeboarding at ponggol marina CC. 3-5pm originally. BUT it was raining till 345, so we only started then! im going again this thursday!!!!
