Day 2

Woke at 7, and we headed out of pnom phenh for the various kampungs, for a prayer walk. it was a 1.5-2 hours drive to and the same back. we visited two kampungs- horeb and speu.

walked through the villages in the scorching heat, familiarised ourselves with the surroundings and people, prayed for the village and some of the people we met.
it's really... kampung. attap houses, muddy roads, clotheless kids.. very poor country.

the people were delighted to see us, we met a couple of families who had sick children and elderly. a few tumours and abcesses, and kids who had untreated wounds and all.

stopped for lunch at horeb, the place we were going to the following day for the start of the actual medical missions and CM.
they served us good food-plain rice, fish sauce, and vegetables with meat.
it is really very simple food to us, even insufficient, but a lot to them.

we were tired by the time we went back to the city in the evening,
but i guess all of us were more than excited to start the real work the following day.
