the mission trip was centred around administering medical aid, and concurrently, carrying out children's ministry in the villages. More importantly, what distinguished us from any other humanitarian organisation is our goal to share the gospel with the unsaved.

brainchild of uncle kevin who started medical missions last year. he and a team of adults went to thailand. this year, we've got a team from the young adults ministry going to cambodia. 2 doctors, and several other medical students. and also 4 other lovely teachers to be in charge of children's ministry.

i left with a heart of anticipation-for God to do His good work through us, that will impact the people we meet. I didnt know what to expect exactly from cambodia, but i knew i left excited.

it was 38 degrees when we arrived. the heat wave was right in our faces the moment we stepped out of the airport gates. we started spraying sun block all over our faces and arms.

Irene from MMS (methodist missions society) greeted us with a warm welcome, together with mr siwath, a local.
he also works with MMS and was in charged of bringing us around the country.

we set off for asia hotel- a 2 star budget hotel, where we would be staying for most of our trip. hmmm, quite a rut honestly, but i think it could have been much worse.thank God for aircons and proper bathing facilities still.

the first day was spent packing stuff for the children and medicine (at night).
as the medicine came in large quantities e.g. 1000 tabs per bottle, we had to sort them out into smaller ziplock bags like 10 tabs in one. as for the children's medication, we had to dilute most of the syrups/mix the powder.
since there were close to 40 types of medicine, we really had to work hard.
jj and andrew's room were turned into a "drug den" haha.
it was good fun, routine, but quite fun.
i had marilyn and anfrew teaching me pharmacology, so tt was quite interesting!

every night we wuld gather for a time of worship, QT , sharing and prayer as well.
josh and i would take turns to lead worship.

so by the time were done, bed time would be around 12am.

tiring indeed!
