3rd of May, 1.06am

-4 weeks to MBChB 1 finals-
1st professional exams ever.
1st exams overseas.
so much lies in the unknown,
there's no time to fear, to complain, to feel inferior,
only revision, PBL, revision, PBL, revision, PBL.
God forbid me forget every single thing ive studied about the brain and biochemistry.

conversations i strike with taxi drivers never fail to remind me of my ultimate calling in life.
tonight, i was driven home by a middle aged man, who spoke about his 4-year-old daughter so dearly.
He had her photo pasted just above the meter, and before i left, he asked me to pick from an array of other photos of his baby girl,another to put up. He spoke of all the goodness in her and his hopes for her-being a doctor, not a taxi driver.

im reminded that God's love for us is equal. in His world, there is no superior being or inferior being,no difference between a doctor or a taxi driver, no difference between a chinese and an english.
im reminded that people all around need love, need to hear the gospel.they need hope, from God. i know, have seen, and have heard that many people out there have been looking for love and shelter from all the wrong places-drugs, alcohol. everyday, so many people pass me by-broken people, with real hurt and real pain in their lives. people need the Lord.just like i do.

I am just a medical student.just another person who loves medicine,
but i am not just another girl who has a religion and it happens to be christianity.
I am a child of God, entrusted with the gospel, to tell of his goodness and to bring the needy to Him. this is my destiny.

i spent quite a bit of the holidays preparing for this easter dance, which we presented to the combined congregation. it was so scary dancing in front of the adults... pastor pan was back! but the aunties were really encouraging and nice. they loved it! really nice aunties, im so glad to be part of the church!
